Projects

Systems that are already running.

Every project starts from a concrete operational problem. Here is what I found, what I built and what changed. For confidentiality, client projects are described without names.

Tequitl

Tequitl: project management with built-in AI

A platform that brings projects, collaboration and files together, with workspaces and free, per-user and organization plans. I founded, designed and built it.

The challenge

Teams use one tool for tasks, another for files, another for chat and a spreadsheet for hours. Management ends up calling to ask how each project is going.

What I built

  • Project management engine with Gantt charts and dependencies, Kanban, table, calendar, subtasks and real-time chat.
  • Configurable workflows with templates, custom fields and public forms that turn external requests into assigned tasks.
  • TAI, an AI copilot that uses on-screen context and takes actions; integration with Claude and ChatGPT via MCP.
  • Time tracking and reports per project and member, with billable time, productivity indicators and export.

The result

  • Product in production and open to the public at tequitl.app.
  • Full architecture and operations in my hands: development, infrastructure, payments and notifications.
02 Manufacturing · ERP / MES

ERP for manufacturing and installation

A system that connects the full cycle of a company that manufactures and installs: from quoting and engineering to on-site installation and piece-rate pay.

Laravel FastAPI SQL Docker Infor SyteLine API BI AI agent

The challenge

Information scattered across dozens of spreadsheets, piece rates calculated on paper, no visibility into which orders were running late on the floor, and a corporate ERP that didn’t cover on-site operations.

What I built

  • Modules for budgeting, engineering, planning, purchasing, production, warehouse, logistics, installation and piece-rate payroll.
  • API integration with Infor SyteLine to avoid re-entering data between systems.
  • Dashboards for invoicing, production, progress and planned vs. actual costs.
  • An AI agent that helps users with reports and takes actions inside the system.
  • Independent Docker modules (lite, logistics and production editions) built with Laravel and FastAPI.

The result

  • A single source of truth for the whole operation, from sales to installation.
  • Piece rates calculated by the system, with a record of who did what and when.
  • Management compares planned and actual costs without waiting for month-end.
03 Tax · ERP integration

CFDI 4.0 e-invoicing connected to the ERP

An invoicing engine connected to the ERP or any system with an API or accessible database, plus tools to review the company’s tax health with Mexico’s tax authority (SAT).

CFDI 4.0 PAC SAT REST API SQL

The challenge

At month-end, the billing team re-typed hundreds of invoices by hand into slow portals, with errors in addenda and delays in collections.

What I built

  • Secure reading of approved orders from the ERP, without altering its tables.
  • Validation of SAT catalogs, tax ID (RFC) and tax regime; CFDI 4.0 stamping through a certified provider (PAC).
  • Payment complements, credit notes, commercial addenda and automatic delivery of XML and PDF files.
  • Tax-health reconciliation: what the SAT reports versus what the ERP records.

The result

  • Manual re-entry of invoices is eliminated.
  • Fewer tax errors and collections that start on time.
  • Invoices safely stored and easy to look up.
04 Security · Identity

Identity and single sign-on

A single sign-on platform that centralizes access to internal systems: human resources, operations, records and more.

FastAPI JWT bcrypt React TypeScript Docker

The challenge

Each system had its own users and passwords. When someone left the company, revoking all their access took days.

What I built

  • Centralized authentication with FastAPI, JWT tokens and bcrypt-hashed passwords.
  • Role-based access control for every system and module.
  • Session revocation from a single place and an audit log of every sign-in.
  • React / TypeScript interface and Docker deployment.

The result

  • One username and password for every system.
  • Access granted or removed in minutes, not days.
  • Visibility of who signs in, to which system and when.
05 Human resources · Attendance

Human resources, attendance and pre-payroll

An HR system with attendance tracking, incidents, vacation and overtime calculated according to Mexico’s Federal Labor Law (LFT).

Responsive web SQL Biometrics LFT rules

The challenge

Time clocks that didn’t talk to each other, overtime calculated by hand and recurring disputes over payroll differences.

What I built

  • Employee records, incidents and leave requests approved online by supervisors.
  • Synchronization of biometric time clocks across several plants.
  • Automatic calculation of overtime (double and triple) and vacation under the LFT.
  • Pre-payroll ready to export to the payroll system and the ERP.

The result

  • Pre-payroll in a fraction of the time it used to take.
  • Labor rules applied consistently, with no manual calculations.
  • Labor cost available by area and by production order.
06 Internal finance

Employee savings funds and petty cash

Management of the employees’ savings fund, with loans, amortization and individual statements, plus petty cash control.

Responsive web SQL Accounting Bank disbursements

The challenge

Significant funds managed in spreadsheets, with risk of interest errors and no clear statements for savers.

What I built

  • A portal where each employee checks their balance, returns and loans from their phone.
  • Loan requests with automatic limit rules and an amortization schedule.
  • Payroll deductions, annual payout of returns and bank disbursement files.
  • Petty cash control with a record of every transaction.

The result

  • Clear, auditable accounts at all times.
  • Less administrative work at every period close.
  • Savers check their information without asking anyone.
07 Web · Digital presence

Corporate websites and B2B portals

Fast, secure corporate websites and portals that are easy to find on search engines. This very site is an example.

Astro TypeScript Nginx Docker Schema.org

The challenge

Slow sites on heavy content management systems, with frequent vulnerabilities and forms whose messages never reached anyone.

What I built

  • Static sites with Astro: very fast loading and a minimal attack surface.
  • Technical SEO: structured data, sitemaps and metadata for search engines and AI assistants.
  • Multilingual versions with automatic detection of the visitor’s language.
  • Forms with email and WhatsApp notifications, and self-service portals for customers and suppliers.

The result

  • Sites that load instantly on any device.
  • Hosted on DEV9 Cloud, with no servers for the client to manage.
Other work

And the work that keeps everything else running.

Beyond the main systems, I take care of the pieces that keep everything working day to day.

  • CNC converters Cut lists and part breakdowns converted into files ready for CNC machines.
  • ERP implementation Rollout and administration of Infor SyteLine and CRM.
  • AI automation Agents built on Claude and OpenAI for repetitive administrative tasks.
  • Infrastructure and networking VPN, VLANs, Cisco and Sophos firewalls, virtualized servers.
  • Backups and continuity Local and cloud backups (NAS and AWS S3) for disaster recovery.
  • Android apps Native Java and Kotlin apps connected to web systems.
